Plot

The film begins with Mussaddi Lal Tripathi celebrating his 65th birthday with his son Bunty (Gaurav Kapoor) and his daughter-in-law (Vinay Jain). He receives a letter from the Pension Office informing him that his pension has been increased by 10%. He is overjoyed and decides to go to the office to collect his cheque. However, he is shocked to find that the office has been shifted to another location and he has to travel a long distance to reach there.

On his way, he encounters various obstacles and challenges from different government departments such as the railway station, the traffic police, the passport office, the income tax office, and the court. He also meets his old foes from the Pension Office: Bhatia (Manoj Pahwa), Pandey (Hemant Pandey), Patel (Deven Bhojani), Shukla (Sanjay Mishra), and Ushaa (Asawari Joshi), who are determined to make his life miserable. They demand bribes, documents, proofs, and signatures from him for every small thing. They also try to trap him in false cases and accuse him of fraud and forgery.

Mussaddi Lal tries his best to prove his innocence and get his pension cheque. He also gets support from some honest officers such as Inspector Razdan (Sunit Razdan), Judge Subhash (Mahesh Thakur), and Advocate Gupta (Makrand Deshpande). He also meets a mysterious woman named Shanti (Farida Jalal), who claims to be his late wife's sister. She helps him in his difficult times and gives him hope.

Cast
