Confused about DoCast vs TV Cast – What’s the actual difference?

Hey all, I’ve been messing around with different casting apps lately and I’ve hit a bit of a wall trying to understand the real difference between DoCast vs TV Cast. At first glance, they both seem to let you cast stuff from your phone to your TV, which is all I really wanted in the first place. But once I started using them, I noticed they don’t behave the same way. For example, one seems to need a browser interface and the other opens a separate app entirely. Also, some features I expected to be standard (like full screen mirroring or video playback from files) work on one but not the other. I’m not super technical, so all the jargon kind of throws me off. I just want to watch videos from my phone on my big screen without jumping through a million hoops. Can anyone break it down in plain English what makes these two different?

The other one was more like a media sender—you pick the file or video from within the app, and it sends just that to the TV. But the weird part is that it doesn’t always support every format. I tried sending a .mov video and it just wouldn’t play, no error, just nothing happened. That kind of inconsistency is frustrating. I think the key difference might be how they’re handling the actual transfer vs mirroring.
