Plot summary
The story of Stri (The Woman) 1 is set in a small town called Chanderi, where a mysterious woman named Stree haunts the men during a four-day festival every year. She lures them with her seductive voice and takes them away, leaving only their clothes behind. The townspeople believe that she is the spirit of a woman who was killed by her lover and now seeks revenge. They write "O Stree, come tomorrow" in Hindi (ओ स्त्र, कल आन) with bat's blood on their doors to ward off her evil eye.
The film follows Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), a skilled tailor who falls in love with a mysterious girl (Shraddha Kapoor) who visits the town during the festival.
