[S2E18] Broken Hearts
Lucy (Geraldine Viswanathan) is a romantic 26-year-old art gallery assistant who literally holds onto her past breakups: She stores and displays mementos left behind. On the same night that she loses her boyfriend and her job, Lucy meets Nick (Dacre Montgomery from Stranger Things) and is inspired to create THE BROKEN HEARTS GALLERY, a space dedicated to trinkets let go by the brokenhearted.
[S2E18] Broken Hearts
So, this is why we all need a safe place to lay our hearts. Because as a part of the human experience most people have or will encounter a heartbreak of some kind. Most likely at the hands of someone they trust. Sadly, that broken trust and heartbreak changes the trajectory of some lives for the bad. In particular, one can become overtaken by feelings of depression and low self-esteem. And that emotional damage, if not handled properly, can set one on a path of utter destruction.

Cue an SUV crashing into the shop dodging Max and Caroline by a smidgen. Caroline's special mug improbably lands unbroken on the SUV's hood. It turns out Kirsten did some room shifting. Anyway, as Marissa tells Ryan "Nothing you haven't seen before, right?". Six in the morning. Even though it's early, Ryan and Marissa are both awake. He claims it's time for him to look for an apartment. Marissa comes up with Alex's flat. She will go with him, Ryan has to help Sandy with the Newpsies. And, maybe, he doesn't want to come back to Alex's place. Yep, too many bad memories. Unfortunately it's way too expensive, but Marissa comes up with an idea: Trey could help the landlord to fix broken things. Meanwhile, Carter has a project in store for Seth and Zach: a graphic novel. Later, Summer lets Seth know a very important point: "if you bring up you and Zach and atomic county I'll kill you both while you sleep". Anyway, Seth and Zach end up accepting Carter's offer. Speaking of Carter, Sandy tells Kirsten he does think he could become a very good friend of his. A worried Mrs. Cohen takes a drink. Phone rings at the Cohen's. Bad news: Trey's landlord turned Marissa's idea down. Trey has to come up with the whole amount of money if he wants the apartment but he doesn't inform Ryan about it. Ryan thanks Marissa for her help but her smile back looks forced because she accidentally overheard the phone call. Another day in Newport Beach. Marissa tells Trey she knows what's going on. But everything is handled in Trey's opinion. Marissa reminds him "If you do anything stupid, it's really gonna hurt Ryan". Later she finds a way to save Trey's situation thanks to an antique tea set, located in Caleb's basement. Auction moment has arrived. Summer found out about Seth and Zach's graphic novel. While it's not too much of a problem with me for some reason, I can see why people say Pinkie Pie was being rather annoying in this episode, as there were parts of this episode where they tried to shove the "Pinkie's attempt to make a friend!" thing down our throats. Plus, I feel the moral is a bit.. broken. It's basically saying "You can't be everyone's friend, so don't even try!" It actually reminds me of the moral in Seahorse Seashell Party. Oh yeah, I'm comparing that. Crap hits the fan now!
