I'm trying to encode an input .mp4 for both HLS and re-size into separate .mp4 files using the tee muxer, and HLS's "var_stream_map". When I run the below command with both HLS and .mp4s in the tee muxer, it fails. It does not fail when running the HLS only. Any ideas?

Without select for a given tee output, all output streams are sent to that tee output. So, the HLS muxer will expect var_stream_map to set mapping for all received streams. But your var_stream_map only handles the first three video and audio streams. So, add select=\'v:0,a:0,v:1,a:1,v:2,a:2\' for the HLS output.

P.S. when using tee, for output to MP4 or other formats with global headers, like FLV, you have to add -flags +global_header to satisfy players like Quicktime, which expect to read stream parameter sets only from the header.

If you want, you can customize such settings as resolution, quality, aspect ratio and others by clicking the gear icon. Apply them to all the video files if necessary and click the button "Convert" to process.

I'm using AWS S3 to store my video and audio files. Before I upload any video file, I convert the video file into different resolutions from my laptop using ffmpeg and then I upload those files onto my AWS S3 account. I want to know if its possible to convert the video file stored on my AWS S3 to different resolutions. As in the conversion to happen on the AWS.

You can set up a transcoding pipeline with AWS Elastic Transcoder. It allows you to take objects from one S3 bucket, transcode the objects (change frame rate, resolution, etc.), and put the altered versions in a different S3 bucket. You could set it up to transcode to multiple different resolutions outputted to different S3 buckets if you wanted.

1. Click the "Choose Files" button to select multiple files on your computer or click the dropdown button to choose an online file from URL, Google Drive or Dropbox. During games I have no micro stutters. But when im watching TV shows and the camera is panning slowly the FPS of the show and my refresh rate seems to mismatch. Anyone knows why? MPEG-4 absorbs many of the features of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 and other related standards, adding new features such as (extended) VRML support for 3D rendering, object-oriented composite files (including audio, video and VRML objects), support for externally specified Digital Rights Management and various types of interactivity. AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) was standardized as an adjunct to MPEG-2 (as Part 1) before MPEG-4 was issued.

MPEG-4 is still an evolving standard and is divided into a number of parts. Companies promoting MPEG-4 compatibility do not always clearly state which "part" level compatibility they are referring to.
